If I remember correctly we didn’t sheet pre-coats anyway in case they got contaminated with dust etc from the sheet, very fussy those Clerks of the Works!

Hi Pete,
Same in my day,you only sheeted tarmac.Derek wouldn’t have sheeted his load,as he was on daywork in the quarry,only hauling from the tar plant to the pad.

Dave,my better half or "The Government"as she likes to be addressed,saw a Bedford TK turning left at Steels corner in Hereford today.She thinks it was a flat PVJ 345?354?H.Just wondered if you may have seen it,or photographed it? Thanks Rich.

Your good lady was exactly right,its PVJ345H And owned by a coal business from Credenhill.The business run by two brothers have had the lorry from new,its petrol engined,was run on gas for a while,but back on petrol now I think.They also have a Ford Thames one ton pick up truck.Steve ( Fryske ) has got pictures of them,if he reads this he might post them.

Its an old family business run by two brothers called A Reese & Co,they deliver a lot of coal and gas around the county.The old petrol engine sounds good.

Hi Dave, great photos and content as usual. This transcon looks nice, it reminds me of a similar coloured one running with a bulker on the coal around the Pontypridd area in the late 80’s.
