Dave the Renegade:
Hi rich,
fascinating to see those invoices,it just highlights the reason there were so many Bedfords aroud, half the price of the Dodge and a lot of other lorries, but they did a good bit of work throughout the UK.A totally different world to these days in costs even taking into account the value of a pound compared to todays rate.
Cheers Dave.
It maybe just me Dave, but I think the Bedford was better to drive.
cheers
John.
Definitely a lot more leg room for any one fairly tall in the Bedford.I didn’t like the cramped driving positin in the Dodge Kew,didn’t mind the K series except for the perkins 6354 engine which I didn’t rate.
Cheers Dave.

A restoration project for Harry Gill and Chris Webb, this AEC tipper should keep them busy through the winter.
Hi Dave
What a lovely old girl that is, I would love to be able to restore something like that. Looking at her she looks very much like ex Roger Constants from Stourport. They had a pit along the spine road near South Cerny, Cirencester.
