Have to say I agree with you. The side roads were buggered, but in fairness they kept on top of the main roads from what I saw. None of our blokes returning to base were unduly delayed. In fact some even said it was great because the roads were empty. I didn’t do much driving Friday, but in the 40 or so miles I did, it seemed at times every other vehicle was a gritter or a plough. The extreme dumping from above was met with a well drilled determined force on the ground, so yes, hats off to them
