Well done drive

dailymail.co.uk/news/article … lorry.html

Lorry driver doesn’t run some kids over!

Mother should of had mire control of them near such a busy road…she was still on the road when kids got back on path…

Well done drive…great reactions

It’s a puddle jumper captain! Normally they are not real lorries when their drivers annoy a proper lorry driver but on this occasion it is accepted.
By the way you did not respond to my response on the other thread but you were not the only one. No sensible answers just the usual tripe. They like to give their views but ignore anything they do not like to hear. What a bunch fella.

Puddle jumper or not, the driver reacted efficiently and in time.

The end result could have been worse.

The headline then would have read" runaway juggernaut brings slaughter" !

I bet he was shaken up a bit, too.

Yep I bet he was. Good on him!

And seriously a real professional!!! He was already slowing down as he approached the group before they had run out !! Anticipating what might happen ? Probably ! Top man! Also had quick reactions on top of the braking, moving over to the opposite side.

I bet the little ones got a right bolloking

35 in a 30. There’s a 30 repeater (due to no street lights) just after the bridge. youtube.com/watch?v=nCrmHcVyCFY
Lucky he didnt hit them as he’d have been in the ■■■■.

Terribly sorry, didn’t realise that the killer HGV driver was speeding!!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

My point was that he was on the ball and did one f-off good job to avoid a VERY serious incident !!! JEEZ :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

He did, no doubt there but that is why we have 30’s. He was nigh on 20% over when they ran into the road.

Was just stating the fact that old bill and court would have taken a very differant view if he’d hit them.

If he’d been dawdling along at 25 mph he might not have been paying so much attention.

The max he got to on his “dashcam” was 35 ! (not quite your 20% but still) and we all know that dash cam speeds are really accurate, don’t we?!
Look , I’m not having a go, but once again you and probably like all the other holier than thou members, that will come on to post later, mentioning no names, are going down the negative route.
We should be praising an alert truck driver for doing a fantastic job of averting what could’ve been a very serious incident with 3 children and maybe a mother being killed or seriously injured, but no, someone has to come up with the nit-picking " if he had hit them etc etc etc, police would’ve thrown the book at him etc etc.

Not having ago either mate  he done a good job, but in the eyes of our “lovely” judicial system here that awalys hangs the truck driver for the most trivial of reasons and at any opportunity, (somebody got nicked the other day for sipping coffee) speeding is an absolute offence- he either was or he wasnt.
In the case of GPS speed, it takes a second or two to adjust but the company fitted thing in my cab is pretty much bang on with the tacho’s displayed speed.

OMG just OMG

I thought that too to be honest, but that post was so bloody stupid it wasn’t worthy of any reply.
