Many years ago I briefly did some work for a company that collected luggage from Victoria and delivered it directly to the plane at Heathrow. The trucks had those lift-up bodies and an extending ramp. They told us that even a slight bump against any part of a plane would put it out of service and cost many £thousands, We had to stop well short of the plane and wait for two bankers to guide us on.
