Waiting to deliver ship stores to the Canberra, in Vigo. Spain

Hi this is my first photo on here so sorry it’s bad . It’s of my old man Neil who drove for Dave hatswell till the day he passed on 20 years ago I found this the other week on his birthday and thought some of you out there would remember him he drove for Allen Morris before hatswell he used to drive the black ford transcontinental for Glendale in sanycroft I’m sure the picture is on here somewhere. Hope it sparks some memories for a few of you that knew him .

This is a forum for anyone that has any interesting trucki related pics to out up for everyone to see… BUT, there are a few thing to consider first…

1)… Please make sure that it is TRUCK RELATED!!..
2) Please make sure you have THE OWNERS PERMISSION to use the photos, if you took them yourself then thats fine but if you copy them from another site, they will be copywritten…
3) ANYTHING that doesnt relate to trucks or trucking or driving, or in any way shape or form, constitutes advertising or slanderous, or anything along those lines, will be deleted IMMEDIATLY without further notice…

PLEASE READ ROG’S TUTORIAL BELOW ON HOW TO POST PICTURES AND PLEASE KEEP THEM 640 X 480

thank you.

Hello Jessicas Dad

The advertising strip on the right side of the screen now obscures the photo being displayed.
any chance of rectifying this little glitch ■■?

This happens when members post pics that are too wide - easy answer - resize pics to fit before posting them.

Is it the size of the photos that are the problem rather than the size of the board

I notice that photos over 640 wide are the problem so is the answer for members not to post photos above this size  :bulb: - most photo sites have a resize option.

Ive ‘borrowed’ a 640 X 480 photo from jacko22 to demonstrate -

A perfect fit on my 15" screen

Will not fit into space available where I have my set-up

so the rest of us have to suffer tiny pictures because you can’t be arsed to get a bigger screen  :unamused:

As my screen allows the same sized pics as this board then I just used it as an example of HOW things can look good without problems.

I’m no techy but maybe there is a programme that can automatically allow a max pic size and automatically downsize those that are too big

If I am not mistaken, this is done with the avatar pics for this site…  :bulb: :bulb:

I don’t have time to look now but I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere that images are now restricted to a width of 800px not 640.

JD asked for those posting pics to restrict them to 640 X 480 size but it is only a request I believe.

Best take that as a No then !!

as far as im aware the settings for photo’s on this new board is 800 x 600. i prefer 640 x 480 because then they all fit on nice and neat and you dont need to scroll across.

 You win a driving comp and look what the first prize is,loads of beer. Very PC.

Please take a look at this thread on a new way to show pics…

Hopefully it is simpler than using outside image hosts, if someone deletes their image hosting account the images are not lost from here and means that larger images can be posted but they wont spread the page as to view them in the larger size you have to click through to see it.

I know its still not perfect but hopefully its is better than the system we had

Please try it and let me know any feedback

Here is a photo i took 20 years ago, The young chap in the pic is Ian Jones, (dusty) David Jones’s son. I think the strato was brand new.
