Weird weather day

Believe me :exclamation: … it’s Cape Cod :exclamation:
Today when I woke up in Sudbury MA there another snow storm was underway, during my sleep there was another 4 inches, with 12 expected, I reloaded in Billerica MA, it was now 8 inches deep, I drove off the scale and reversed up to get my ticket, and dropped the wheels of my trailer into a 3ft deep trench that was full of snow, so it looked like level land, in doing so I demolished a traffic light  My first damage to anything in 25 years … I’m gutted  no bonus this time

Sorry to hear about your misfortune , with the hidden ditch Pat and

just to cheer you up a little, we are haveing some bad weather

also here in GERMANY, and the silly ++++ are still driving around

with SUMMER tyres, The amount of accidents is causing the

insurance firms a headache , Monday the cost was 15 million$$$

worth. So I hope that cheers you up ,as you have yet read you

are not on your own,

Our car is a Ford Focus Street Edition with wide, low profiles, great on wet or dry roads, but total crap on ice and snow, there is no traction of any sort :exclamation:

This week I got Kate a birthday gift of a Jeep Wrangler Sport  She won’t loose traction in that

I went back to southern Mass today and it was STILL snowing :exclamation: this is the heaviest snow fall in that state since records began, it is now 5 ft in some areas. Add to this the extreem cold, I’m talking 50 degrees of frost, en-route today several electronic devices froze up on my truck, Speedometer, brake lights and cruise.
The speedo only worked when the truck reached 30 mph and as there is a safety feature which stops the engine reving over 1500 rpm when the speedo is at 0 mph it took a few extra minutes to get to 30 and the limiter switch off. So far this week I have got through 8 gallons of washer fluid :exclamation:

It sounds like you are really up agains’t it Pat  it’s gone really warm here!
Majorca has had the biggest snowfall in 70 years! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

We get ‘Frost heaves’ here, the constant freezing condtions for a month or two freeze the ground below the road and push it up in regular humps, it can be like driving on a wash board. Last night I took Kate’s new toy for a test drive of about 20 miles, at 55 mph it was like trying to drive a bouncy castle

I’m quite warm today … I have taken the day off and havn’t been out

We’re in the grip of an Ice Storm, and have been since about 9.00pm last night.

Temperature at the 0 degrees C here in Saskatoon.
Bright & sunny, quite warm, actually
Even washed the truck this morning & when I pulled out of the wash… IT DIDN’T FREEZE :open_mouth:
Things are looking up here in “Stoon”

Don’t get too over confident Steve

Next thing you know Steve, it’ll be -20 and snowing again, and all that wet stuff will be ice :frowning: I kind of learned very quickly to be wary of warm days in winter. They’re worse than the real cold ones in some ways.

HEATWAVE :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

It it reached 0c today

Thursday and Friday we got hammered with snow :exclamation: It started about 7.00pm thurs and was still comming down at midnight Fri. I had to take Kate’s bouncy castle to work and at one point drove through a 3 ft wall of snow :exclamation:

Such fun

Snow■■? :open_mouth: It’s been in the 60’s down here for the past several days! :sunglasses:

Been in T shirts since Thursday and I’ve already started loading the truck with my summer clothes :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

…mind you, it’s still a bit nippy at night, best I keep a couple of jumpers handy for a little while longer  .

Cliff Warby:

Cliff… you’d better have appreciation for my new found restraint on this one

if it makes you feel better kate, all that snow you had was rain down here and has melted everything. i think it was in the 50s today.

It was beautiful out today… alot of it has melted here too… but winters coming back before the end of the week

We hit a new record high in Ohio yesterday of 65 :sunglasses: for January…but back down to the 30’s today. I was reading that NASA experts have predicted this summer should be one of the hottest since records began.
