Weightlifter bulker cracking up

Anyone running weightlifter tipping trailers I would advise to check top inside body rails fr /rear and rear chassis x member for cracks. Got 1 No more !

don’t worry about cracks in the body/chassis that’s a minor thing, the kingpin fell out of one i do some work on resulting in the trailer falling of the unit!
10 mins earlier 29t had been tipped off
the bit the kingpin bolts to had cracked all the way round and then the pin fell out altogether!

Nothing new really, weightlifters can crack where they sit on the chassis by the ram ,top corners at the front ,bottom of the uprights ,rear up rights where they join the rear cross member ,if you look along the top rail does it look like a banana?

oh dear, seen that happen on a seadyke Wilcox once yrs ago ,driver came in complaining of king pin slop, dropped trailer and THUD,PIN ON FLOOR.

If only don bur didnt have the rear axle cut away in the bootom rave for the tyre looks like a after thought, was that the pay loader model or taper tip?

if you are running a weightlifter with a bolt in pin and an 8 mm rubbing plate you need to keep your eye on it!
due to the lack of a quality brace above the pin assy below the ram the rubbing plate will flex all the time and then crack all the way round!

All with the cutaway, heavy tailboards, the necks like to crack back of the rub plate ,but suppose they were not built for 44t.
