Can someone please give me some advice was told by a employer to do that you are allowed a percentage over weight of 2% is this correct or not as l have never herd of it.

Its 5% - non endorsable to 15% or 5t Max, over 5% you will have to unload the excess however & usually £200 fine.
I’ve run at just under the 5% & years ago after moving load slightly so rear axle was not over weight was allowed to go, years later at 11% however it it was q fine & unload time, although I was within axle weights, just was well over the plated gvw & tax class.

remember if your going through a 7.5t limit you could get an invitation to tea.
