Weight limits sweden

Any one know what gross weight limits are in sweden for a 2 axle unit and tri axle trailer is it 40ton as uk
the idiots in my place say we can run at 44ton with this combanation any info please doing in run next week gothenburg to stockholm also whats the route like from gothenburg to stockholm getting dfds boat from tilbury

Truck weight 60T .Length 25.25M
Volvo has a special permit for a 32 metres (105 ft), steering B-trailer-trailer combination carrying two 40 ft containers to and from Gothenburgs harbour and Volvo Trucks factory, all on the island of Hisingen.

No idea on the weight question but the route is very nice, done it a few times. Gothenburg to Jonkopping then pick up the E4 to Stockholm. Easily doable in a day. Remember you will need the vignette for Sweden

The rule is that your truck can run at its legal maximum in its home country, unless, of course the country it is in has a lower weight limit.
Therefore, your 40 tonne truck can run at 40 tonnes only, even if it is the case that a similar Swedish truck can run at 44 tonnes.
By the same rules, the Swedish truck that can run at 44 tonnes on 5 axles at home can only run at 40 tonnes if it comes over here.

Some big ■■■ trucks out there!

The weight limit in Swiss was 28t gross but for international work they used to run @38t & allowed 10km within the Swiss border. You need that guy Kybro ? from Finland to answer your question.

Weight 40 tons, 2 routes, as Coffee says via Jonkoping which has a few hills or take E20 via Orebro, Eskilstuna and join the E4 at Sodertalje, almost all flat. Hope this helps. God tur!

That’s a lovely lovely run. I adore driving in Sweden. Or anywhere in Scandinavia to be honest

Personally I’d go for ncoopers answer, it looks to be the way these things usually seem to work.
Presumably you’ll be loading in the UK and then driving to Tilbury and then running back to the yard with a full load on your return. Running at 42 or 44t wouldn’t be popular with the powers that be.
