Been looking at either a DAF CF or MAN XLX preferably with a little wheel on the midlift as would be using it on bulk transport. Just wondered if anyone knows the difference in weight between these two wagons with little wheels fitted AND the difference between a little wheel on the midlift and a standard wheel. cheers
I reckon you would be saving 750kg levelled against a higher price for tyres and spare parts
Call your local/any MAN/DAF dealership and ask them.
We run a CF with those ‘caravan’ wheels on bulk work pulling a 65yd Freuhauf ‘bathtub’ trailer and it will just carry 29.5 tons, but not if the fuel tank is much more than half full.
Sorry, don’t know anything about the XLX Man but a mate of mine does run an LX (with normal wheels) and I could ask him about payload.

i ou want lightweight units, look at renault premiums
