Since Monday 16th March I’ve had breaks of 36.5, 36.5, 34.5, 35.5, 41 and 40 hours but never quite reached 45 in one go.
So, as this is the 3rd weekend. Do I still need to have 45hrs off in one lump? Thanks.

You definitely need a regular 45 hour weekly rest period to start before 23:59 Sunday 5th April (this coming Sunday), from what you’ve posted I can’t say whether or not you should have had a regular weekly rest period last week but it does look like you should have had one.

Ok ta. I did think so, it just seems a farce. I’ve had 300 hours off in 3 weeks but none count as a proper weekly rest!! Such is life I guess…

It does seem a bit ridiculous doesn’t it, unfortunelately the regulations still require you to have a regular weekly rest period every second week.
You need a full 45 hours every other week, unfortunately you can’t reduce 2 weeks in a row

I think you may have had an infringement looking at that, a regular 45 was needed by end of week 2…you’re now in week 3

Pardon my ignorance, but it looks as though you must have had a lot of broken time in the three weeks, and are unlikely to have done six (or even five) consecutive periods of duty, so will it not be that the 144 hr will be what applies.
Forgive me, I’m very old and easily confused!!

It’s a perfectly reasonable idea so there’s nothing to forgive John
The six 24 hour periods (144 hours) rule dictates the maximum time you can go between weekly rest periods, however the regulations also say that in any two weeks a driver must have either two regular weekly rest periods or one regular and one reduced weekly rest period.
The six 24 hour periods is seven 24 hour periods while the relaxed drivers hours exist.
