My mate was pulled at beacons field and made to leave truck for 45 hours of his own accord ,his brother came out in his car and swapped over ,he then was instructed to go straight home and not at any time should he go to depot until rest period had been accrued . Same happened to me 4 years ago 200 and 45 park up and go home at purfleet vosa

No offence has occured and even if it had, It would be a warning or very low fine. He isn’t a prolific offender.
We don’t know if it had because he hasn’t actually told us if the previous weekend was a reduced weekly rest. And it would be parked up.

He was 3 or 4 hours short, There was still time for the shortfall to be added to a daily or weekly rest even after the infringement was given.
What the office bod should have said is “You are likely to get an infringement notice if you don’t make up the shortfall within a certain time”.

I will have a look and let you know, I did have a few weekends around that time were I finished Friday late after noon and didn’t start till Monday.
Normally try and start Sunday afternoon and finish Friday afternoon.

Therein lies your problem. Unless you’re checking that it’s a full 45 you’re having as opposed to assuming it is you could be reducing by a minute or two which after a few weeks on the bounce will result in your infringement.
