If a driver has 3 days off over a weekend ending 07.00 Monday can it be treated as a reduced rest in week 1 immediately followed by a full rest in week 2?

YES
Example
Finish 1900 thu then start 0700 mon = 84 hours off
84 can be 39 + 45 or 45 + 39 leaving 6 to be paid back
This is allowed as the weekly rest includes sunday midnight so is in two fixed weeks
Your best bet is just enjoy your weekend off

Thanks.
Thought that was the case but could find nothing on the net to confirm it.
Why the hell would you want to? What the hell is the obsession in this job with wringing every absolute second out you out of the drivers hours regs you can using any obscure rule possible?

Wish it was extra money. Simply a situation where I worked 3 Saturdays in a row and had Sunday and odd days off during the week but not always for long enough to get a 45 in. No obsession, no wringing.
