Weekly rest compo/split daily rest

Getting myself into a ponder…

Over the weekend I reduced to 43hrs weekly rest so I owe two hours - it’s the first time I’ve reduced in weeks.

So I’ve got two to pay back, in one hit within three weeks on top of a daily/weekly rest which is fine. I’m also off for ten days after Friday so can pay it back then if all else fails.

BUT…

The way my work is today I’m going to be sat around sleeping for about four hours so will be able to (although not needed) show a split daily rest and then an 11hr solid rest after.

Would this compensate? So 3hrs + 9hrs + another 2hrs on top.

Yes. Even without the split rest. The first 11 hr daily rest you have will count as a reduced plus compensation. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, as said that should be fine and with the split daily rest period you won’t be using up one of your available reduced daily rest periods.

Though to be honest, paying back the 2 hours compensation today is irrelevant if you’re having 10 days off after Friday :smiley:

Yeah I know it’s irrelevant but its more a case of me pondering about it is all :slight_smile:
