Week one (last week) worked on saturday till 1:45pm. Started on monday 7:45 .
So i had 42 hrs rest . 3 hrs yet to recover.
Week two (this week) lets say i work on sat again till about 5pm. And start next mon 7 am.
So it means 38 hrs rest. 7 hrs to recover
Can i recover both weekends on week 3? Like lets say friday i finish 7pm and monday start 7am? Means i recovered 14 hrs…
As far as i know i must recover by end of week 3 (12 midnight or next start time on monday)
I ve heard different opinions from alot of drivers. Hope my question is clear.
Generally the answer will be no BUT you may be able to do it depending on what weekly rests you have done over the past few weeks/months
For us to work that out we would need you to post your weekly rest history starting from a point where you had at least 4 days off which included a sunday midnight
can i have have 2 reduced weekly rests in a row and compensate all hrs on 3rd week?
No way can you have two weeks in a row where they both only have reduced weekly rests used as the weekly rest for those weeks
You can have what seems like two reduced weekly rests in a row but where in fact one is not used for a particular week
This example might help
Week holiday
work mon to sat
sun off = reduced A
work mon to sat
sun off = reduced B
work mon to fri
sat + sun off
Looks like 2 reduced in a row but the last 45 hours of the holls is the regular for the first week
Either A or B is the reduced for the second week - the unused one does not need compensating for
sat + sun off is the regular for the last week
Dunno - I would need to know what you have done in regards to weekly rests over the past few weeks or months to give you a definitive answer on that
Perhaps you could give us the info like this example …
WEEKLY RESTS
fri 29/11 7pm to mon 1/12 6am
fri 23/11 6pm to mon 26/11 5am
sat 17/11 4pm to mon 19/11 6am
and keep going back to a time when you had at least 4 days off
So week 1 : sat 18/10/14 8:30 pm finish start mon 20/10 8:30am
Week 2 : sat 25/10/14 10:27 am finish start mon 27/10 09:45 am
Week 3 : fri 31/10/14 6:06 pm finish start mon 03//11 10 am
From 05/11/14 to 12/11/14 i did not had any work.
So last shift 04/11 next shift 13/11
Week 5 : fri 14/11/14 6:57 pm finish start mon 17/11 8:38 am
Week 6 : fri 21/11/14 9:27 pm finish start tue 25/11 09:27 am
Week 7 : sat 29/11/14 1:45 pm finish start mon 01/12 7:45 am
I hope this is clear enough.
Thanks a lot for your answers.
… FIXED WEEKS … WEEKLY RESTS …
week 1 - 13/10 to 19/10 = regular weekly rest (using rest before starting first shift)
week 2 - 20/10 to 26/10 = reduced weekly rest 36 hrs (using rest on 18to20/10)
week 3 - 27/10 to 2/11 = regular weekly rest (using rest on 25to27/10)
week 4 - 3/11 to 9/11 = regular weekly rest (using 5/11 + 6/11 not working days)
week 5 - 10/11 to 16/11 = regular weekly rest (using 11/11 + 12/11 not working days)
week 6 - 17/11 to 23/11 = regular weekly rest (using rest on 14to17/11)
week 7 - 24/11 to 30/11 = regular weekly rest (using rest on 21to25/11)
week 8 - 1/12 to 7/12 = reduced weekly rest 42 hrs (using rest on 29/11to1/12)
week 9 - 8/12 to 14/12 = this must have a regular weekly rest but as long as one is started by midnight on sunday 14/12 then you can have a reduced over the weekend of sat 6/12 + sun 7/12 which will not be used as the weekly rest for any week and will not need compensating for
I think this will be good news for you
