Monthly is 4 weeks (28 days so you get paid monthly)which means 13 pay days in a year but not on the same date,
Where as alot get paid on a fixed date each month meaning they only get 12 pay days,the difference being the 13th month is split over 12
Over the year it works out as the same pay.

Weekly, but having previously been paid monthly, I’d go back to it in a flash. Used to be paid last working day of the month, then all DDs etc come off 1st of the month - what’s left over I know can be spent, without having to remember if X or Y bill has came off. The only drawback I can think of is some companies would have this bad habit of paying you early for Xmas, around 20th Dec, so you’d then need to go ~6weeks before the next pay.Saying that, DDs still all come off on 1st, and tend to have enough in bank to cover all my bills etc anyway, so weekly doesn’t cause me any issues.
I went from monthly to weekly pay too. I found it bit of a struggle at first, so I opened a seco d account. Wages go in and all bills come out of one, so after I’ve worked out how much my bills come to, divide by four plus some savings, I put the rest into my spends account.
Best part is, every 3 months or so I get a weeks extra pay that hasn’t been accounted for.

I asked because my co. are wanting to change from weekly to monthly and it’s always been my belief that generally most drivers get paid weekly.
If they are gonna change it no matter what, push for getting paid every 4 weeks, that way you end up with 13 pay dates and a months wages that you won’t have to pay bills out of, I get paid this Friday and then again at the beginning of June and then again at the end of June, so my beginning of June pay packet is a bill free one
Get paid weekly which I prefere. My wife is paid monthly so the household bills come out of her bank after she gets paid and I transfer my share every week so she has money every week too.
Works well for us
For the first time in my life monthly, paid the last Friday of the month. I miss being weekly. Our nights out are paid separately but on the same day. I’m paid salary too so it’s the same every month.
