weekend break

just a quickie, i had a long weekend at easter ,then 25 hrs off on the ferry, wednesday/thursday, drove thursday-fri-sat morning then on boat again for 26 hrs , off boat sunday about 1500 rond to truckstop till monday morning , worked today till 1400 then home , i am loading wednesday (tomorrow)and shipping out , as i see it , i long break then 2 short breaks during w/end so next weekend when i will be in spain i can have a short break (36/40hrs) before having to have long break weekned after which will be at home .
so to cap ------long break -short break-short break -long break , i am sure i have seen it written like that in the last vosa booklet i was sent but being as tidy and well prepared i have put it away safe somewhere so i can only find it in times of dire need

Can’t answer with complete accuracy without knowing more details. Need to know what your weekly rests were in the week before Easter weekend, w/e 25/03, and how many hours you had over Easter.

However, I can give it a go but assumptions will need to be made.

If you had a rest of at least 90 hours over Easter weekend then you can take a reduced rest this coming weekend in Spain and follow that with a regular rest, at least 45 hours, when you are back home next week.

If you had between 66 and 90 hours rest over Easter the above is still possible but it depends on whether you needed a reduced or regular rest in the week ending Sunday the 4th April. If you only required a reduced rest then it will be okay to do as you propose but if you required a full rest, and didn’t get 90 hours over Easter, it won’t.

If by long rest over Easter you mean you had a normal rest of 45+ hours, but did not get at least either 66 or 90 hours, then you will not be able to do as you propose and will require at least 45 hours this coming weekend.

In that last scenario you will have had a regular rest for w/e the 4th then reduced rest (two in fact) for w/e the 11th and will require a regular for w/e the 18th to comply with the at least one regular and one reduced in any two weeks rule.

Sorry for the ‘if’s’ but that’s the best I can do with the information supplied.
