Last post , I retire today , I’ve been offered 3 days etc but I’ve a major operation next week which according to the professor chap I had to see Is going to be along road to recovery .
Wife said retire as you’ll have them on your back about when are you returning to work etc etc ( she maybe right , or maybe wrong) , I loose a bit of money in sick pay but the wife said you don’t need any distractions , you just need to just concentrate on getting yourself as well as you can , she’s right , it’s time , not just this operation , health is not good whatever
So look after yourself , hope everything works out for you all , and all the best for the future
All the best ady your doing the right thing, if all goes well and you get bored you will still be able to walk into any job you like especially with your experience
Used to love that place-20 mins in and out with doubled stacked 45 gallon drums of chinese honey-at least until one time he opened the doors and the honey was running out as one of the drums had split! Think I was there overnight as they had to get a specialist cleaning firm in sort it out!
My turn for a break on the A34. Soton to Birmingham, trailer swap, do Birmingham depot route around Wolverhampton, go back swap trailers back so now it’s loaded, and I will get back in time to avoid a night out .
Ran around like hell to get done. Birmingham depot don’t know how to strap a load and they’re our head office depot.
Got this for helping them out, would much prefer cash.
