Left ■■■■■■, probably following his (car) sat nav.
He’s done a good on the chimney stack that’ll need rebuilding.

Yeah, but satnav or no satnav, blind freddie could see that was never going through without a fight.
Should’ve been watching his mirrors not his sat nav!
Wide enough to get through just took the corner too sharp thats all…

Sat navs, truck OR car, make no allowances for bad judgement and stupidity.

What difference does the ‘left ■■■■■■’ bit make?
…and I use a car sat nav also…(although I never usually mention it )
Fella at work who lives near this reckons they dragged it through the way it was facing, reckoned it would have caused more damage dragging it out backwards.
It’s do-able…
But not at that angle obviously.
Why would you keep on going when you’ve already hit the pub?
I’d be assualting him if that was my house, just before Christmas an all.
I don’t understand y they put houses so close to corners,u would think they would of planed it a little better than they have, I no land is at a premium right now but that close ,come on planers sort it out
Well that road certainly is wide enough, it is a lack of judgement…if only he had made a wider swing…i do feel sorry for the owner of the house who needs a bricklayer fast…maybe the driver knows one ?

I suppose happening in Berkshire was appropriate.
I suspect someone will have said the immortal words
“we’ve had bigger than that down ere driver” …

Looking at google maps it might not be that simple. With the angle required to clear the tail sweep to the house on the right of the junction putting the unit too far past the left turn to clear it’s front offside corner against the corner of the house with the chimney. The answer seems to be go a bit further past the junction then reverse it into the road further along on the right and than come back and turn right instead of left.

He probably is one… or was one at some point…

as you say, a wider swing and he would have made it[probably]
I know that 4 way junction well and it will be a very tight turn into that narrow road (to Newbury eventually) for any commercial vehicle coming down the A329 from Pangbourne/Reading which he has done. The junction is light controlled, and very busy usually, but I can’t remember if both sets on the A329 are on at the same time in which case he would struggle to get onto the opposite side of the road to get a good swing at it due to the oncoming traffic on the A329 from Wallingford etc where the fire engines are parked. Still cocked up bigtime though!
Pete.
More of the usual flip-floppery mayhem.
