Webradio on the road

I’ve had a quick google about listening to internet radio in the truck but it seemed to degenerate into geek-speak and I didn’t want to spend hours looking for something that may not be any good.

So, I’ve got a few questions that hopefully an interwebs savvy person my be able to help with!

Can I listen to internet stations on the move?

Does it cost money?

Do I have to buy a new stereo?

Thanks for any help!

I have an android eeejit phone with “TUNE IT” app downloaded… I listen to my music and digital radio just by a lead to the aux on the radio. works great and less junk to carry around and I use the internet off the phone to my 10"screen tv…

you won’t get an internet station through your radio at all, the only way to listen would be using either your computer via a dongle or a smart phone connected to the internet, wether you can connect this your existing radio another question altogether, as for cost that would depend on your internet sevice provider with the dongle or phone service provider, as and when you lost 3g signal traveling along would determine when you lost your radio station,

the only other option if the station was on digital radio :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Cheers, does the phone have the internet on all the time? I want to listen to some Continental stations, and I can see it dropping out every few minutes. Am I wrong?

the phone would have to be connected to the net all the time to receive the station and as with any mobile you will lose the signal at some stage :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Bah, I thought as much. Thanks anyway!

Well I have had no problems listening to Arrow rock just now and again it needs buffering, not an issue unless its the footy results you are listening to. I have unlimited internet and £200 worth of any calls for £30 a month. Don’t become a battery drainer

Sounds ok. I don’t want to use my phone though, is there another way?
