Wear a face covering

I was at a place earlier and the goods in office has signs up saying wear a face covering in this area. The amount of drivers just walking in and out without a face covering on, well it was most of them. How hard is it? How can the traffic commissioner and network rail expect us to see signs with red circles round and avoid hitting low bridges when we can’t even put a covering on a face if that’s what the site rule is.

Oh dear rowleydicknick Friday afternoon troll time again 1 out of 10 for this, you really are scraping the bottom of the barrel now.
Give it up man FFS

Maybe it’s just that they haven’t fallen for the ridiculous hysteria about catching a cold

It’s such a shambles…people are giving up.

I got asked to wear one at ocado,by someone who wasn’t wearing one.
At sainsbury stoke, only disposable types are accepted

DONT FEED THE TROLL

Bloody hell ■■■■,.Even I was with you until.I got to the end bit.
You’re right, how hard is it ?
I can’t say I fully agree with the mask thing, I don’t, but if it makes the weak, the old, the vulnerable feel a bit safer, I’ll suffer walking around with a snood over my face looking like I’m out on the rob…(Rob on the rob…see what I did there? )

But to use the usual predictable tedious tactic of tenuoslly linking it with driver quality… and this time bridge bashing :open_mouth:   .hmmm it’s a bit weak mate…even for you. 2.5 out of 10, (.5 for getting your spellings right)
Keep trying. :unamused:

Not so sure about that. I would say it’s down to attitude and if what DN says is true then maybe there is a problem.

Can’t speak for the UK but there seems to be an awful lot of people got bad attitude about covid rules and it ain’t just lorry drivers.

Whether you think the whole thing is a hoax or not it’s not your place to decide whether you want to follow somewheres rules or not. Someone else in that office where you’ve just walked in giving a middle finger to the rules might be trying to protect someone vulnerable at home whilst still coming to work. Just put the thing on.

Ok the bridge bashing comparison was a bit of a light hearted humour but I do think it’s a general thing where us drivers don’t like sticking the rules whether it being speed limits, or site rules.

It’s not hard

Whatever you believe, no one else wants your germs.

It ain’t so much the rules, it’s some of the paranoid power crazy types who are implementing them. :unamused:
Can’t be arsed to repeat my experiences of it all this week whilst I’ve been off, but if you’re interested check out the Covid Regulations thread on Bullys

Same here at Encirc in Elton. H&S bod telling me to wear a mask outdoors whilst working on my trailer nowhere near anybody, whilst not wearing one himself and then proceeding to walk indoors still without one on!

I am quite happy to wear one in indoor settings and/or where you are around other people, but the blanket ‘drivers must wear masks on site’ thing is ■■■■■■■■. Masks do not need to be worn in yards ffs :unamused:

Well, if there is a glass screen between the driver and the staff, it seems a bit pointless putting a mask on to be fair and putting one on would mean touching your mask with your fingers and also touching your face. If it is rammed with drivers, then yeah put a mask on for the sake of reducing the chances of transmitting but there is a balance.

Limiting the numbers allowed in at once in the first place would be a good idea. Saying it is fine to pile in because you are wearing a mask isn’t really a great policy.

Totally agree. If I thought for a minute that all the taxpayers millions that had been spent on the incessant drip drip drip of propaganda had been wasted I’d be incensed. :imp:

In fact this mask thing is surely going to save us millions! How, I hear you ask? Well for starters all the money spent on armed forces respirators and NBC kit can be whittled down to a tissue over the soldiers face, plus, all the billions spent on facial recognition cameras and tech is now obviously redundant so hopefully the Govt can get a refund on technology that was undoubtedly way overpriced in the first place. Win win.

As for the second part of your post I edited it out as it was obviously your usual firing for effect ■■■■■■■■. You’re welcome.

One guy at my place was flipping his lid because I took the keys and paperwork off a night driver and handed them in to save him waiting in the queue to get into the driver’s lobby just to put them on the counter and walk out. That driver has already had Covid, I’m tested weekly for the ONS study and don’t have it. Nobody was getting it from this yet this person flipped his lid.

I pointed out that if he was so worried about getting it he shouldn’t be anywhere near a lorry especially given we’re all now delivering in Tier 2 and 3 areas and perhaps he should go home and lock all the doors.

People have lost their minds.

So long as you are following the common sense procedures of hand washing & sanitising, the risk of catching COVID of somebody else keys is out there with the fairies.

Wash your keys people

Simple stuff

Do you never get bored of these endless, tedious and unimaginative fishing trips?

1st paragraph…Fair enough, it’s a valid point.

Thing is though these places usually implement their rules with great enthusiasm, shouting ‘‘Health and Safety’ at you, or in this case, the new favourite ‘’ Covid’'.
Try taking off your hi viz to see what I mean,.something I always do when I’m being ignored at a book in, it works in seconds.

2nd paragraph…A back pedaling damage limitation excercise.

No it wasn’t light hearted humour, it ain’t even mildly amusing to anybody,…even you, :unamused:
It’s just yet another example of you posting something random and negative towards drivers, for effect…usually a blinding generalisation with no back up to prove your point, and done in order only to start an argument…pre mod even has not stopped you.
You even mention something completely different and random, (speed limits) in your explanation ffs. ! you just can’t help yourself with this one trick pony thing.
Try posting something that isn’t negative towards drivers next time just for a change, you are starting to not only achieve your aim, ie annoy some members, but you’re also managing to bore the arses off the rest of us who know what you are up to . :bulb:

If that’s the case you spend a lot of your time replying to robroy. I think it’s really because you know I’m right behind it all.

Aye whatever.
Good point about me replying, , but I replied because as I said, I was with you on your o/p until your usual …as Luke says, ‘fishing excercise’ took over.

Point taken btw, so take this as the last time I reply to you…can’t be arsed with your trolling any longer.
Cheers.
