We Share the Road with Them

Muppet has same car seized twice, the same day, for the same offence. His mate has car seized too.
We share the roads with `em.

He must be mates with Boris, as he too thinks the rules apply to everyone else but not to him.

He must be a first class idiot. Once you get nicked you are marked.

I wonder if they may be from an “Ethnic Minority”
Mercedes car, and total disregard for the law does make me wonder.

Probably right there Old John.
As it was in Cornwall I would guess at one of the “Ethnic Minority English” most likely from North of the M5/M42 junction

The English are the main Ethnic minority in Cornwall, and listening to the accents of the ‘accused’ suggests somewhere from North of the M5/M42 junction - more often than not the western end of the M62

ahh, gotcha laa…

Believe it or not - he has been stopped & car seized a 3rd time:

“What can I say?” police wrote to Twitter this afternoon.
"Vehicle from yesterday that we seized twice. Released to a driver with a licence and then given back to our provisional licence holder today.
Stopped and seized by @DC_RPT 7521 for the third time in 2 days."

Idiot learner driver has car seized three times in two days by police - Cornwall Live

! ! !
Licence should be permanently withdrawn on medical grounds.

Repeating the same actions, but expecting different results, is the definition of insanity.

Should simply crush the thing. Also waiting for the usual suspects to start banging on about it just being a money-making exercise

I dont understand how they gave the person the car back after the first time if he got a mate to drive him down on thier own then obviously there isnt going to be anyone supervising him on the trip home.

reminds me of somthing that happened years ago. I was living in a hostel several buildings with a shared carpark one of the other residents stole a car and parked it in the carpark. Police found it and blocked it in while they were going round doing thier enquires ie had anyone seen someone driving it etc this muppet came up to them and demanded that they move thier car so he can get out.

Whereas this person quietly got away with driving without supervision….for 70+ years

There could still be 90(?) year olds on the road today, with a full legal licence who never took a test. Although the car test was introduced in the 30s there were no driving tests in WW2, and full licences were given afterwards to some drivers. No test involved.

Same with “grand-father rights” on pre 1970 HGV drivers, that is when the vocational licence was introduced.
There are some truck drivers in their 70s (late 60s?) who passed only a car test.

All very interesting but unlike the people in your examples, the person in the article committed an offence - driving without a license or insurance. I was just contrasting the young person in the OP with this person of advancing years. Both of them wishing to enjoy their rights without the responsibilities.

That`s all it is. Interesting.
