We are making good time - Bang!

So who spoke too soon ■■

Good way to wake yourself up. . . Always happens when you say you are making good time or it’s a good day or it could be worse or anything that master Murphy doesnt like the sound of! Hope you got on your way again in a decent time!

At least you only needed a tyre fitter and not a truck fitter as well

You got away light mate, at least your mudguard, bracket, and light unit are still intact.
Could have been worse…could have been a front axle tyre blow out, or even much worse…
…it could have been ME.

It was annoying at the time, but as said on here, managed to get away with just a pair of tyres,

Amazed that the mud wings & light fitting were untouched, and all the steel flapping about didn’t damage the airbags

Another lucky touch, was in the roadworks but managed to crawl into a gap in the metalwork

I got a tyre fitter out within the hour, he had a bit of trouble getting a jack under & getting wheels off, but turned it around in half an hour, which I was keen to do before plod or wombles turned up, as I had 11 horses on board & you can just imagine the drama they would have made out of that - we would have had the M4 shut, heavy recovery, a couple of Vets and horse trailers, and it would have been chaos for about 5 hours or so  :unamused:

Oh yes, the police would love the opportunity to flex their muscles and get the motorway closed and demand a vet make sure the horses are all ok before they let you move :unamused: glad they got you on your way in a timely fashion though. I once had 2 blowouts in one day, picked up a set of trailers that hadn’t moved for about 6 months. Got about 45 mins out of my terminal and a tire on the back of my pup trailer blew and it bent the whole wheel arch out too! Was sat on the side of the QE2 for about 4 hours with that. Later that day, after loading, i had another blowout on the back of my lead trailer which I was lucky enough to be close to a tire shop so managed to limp the truck there and got that one fixed too. . . Never a dull moment in this game hey
