We use to run tractors from Massy’s at banner lane into Livingstone Allpack in the 70’s, they use to let you come and go through the emergency road back then, plus it was a good place to park up on a dodgy and flip home, either there, or the Texaco garage on the A45 as is now, that also use to be called the Blue Boar by the locals, Mortons and and Car Delivery firm would park there.

Blue Boar was the service station operator wasn’t it??

Like Trusthouse Forte and others that aren’t coming to mind right now.
