Watch out for commie vehicles - Złombol goes to Scotland!

Annual Złombol leaves Katowice today.

This is the charity rally with only one rule: the vehicle has to be made in Communist Eastern Europe and the purchase cost cannot extend 1000 zł (about 230 pounds).

They go to Loch Ness this year, via London.

Some pics for you to see what to look for:

Wow, I had indentical one, FSO 125p (based on Fiat 125). They weren’t too reliable…

So be prepared that hard shoulders will be scattered with them

:unamused:

Nice one, prefer these type of runs ,plymouth /dakar very similar. Much more of a challenge and alot more of a laugh than the too much money and no sense Gumballs.

Thats great Orys, my friends did one in the opposite direction. York to Prague and the car had to cost less than £250 iirc

Whoever that is sat on the FSO, they can drop her off at my house if they need to jettison any weight :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, one day I will go to Budapest Bamako. As I now live here, I should get something British… Maybe on Reliant Robin?

London cab would be nice, plus tough as old boots :sunglasses:

Isn’t it the whole idea behind driving Reliant Robin? As if not, I hardly can imagine why on Earth someone would buy something so absurdal…

Well you could drive them on a provisional licence and take three of your mates in comfort! Quite economical too…

Very economical, Austin 7 engine ,if i remember.

I think I got the picture now.

So I am 17yo, I got one, I offer a lift to school to this nice Janet from next doors, who would never let me touch her ■■■■, and then I roll on the first corner before she managed to put her seatbelts on and she’s falling in my arms!

Jeez I wish I’d thought of that 30+ years ago!

Glad that I was able to provide some advice. They say “better late than never”

Yeah, banger racing is what I do in my work (see my old diary of the courier driver :stuck_out_tongue:) and I can confirm that it’s a great fun. But we use sprinters, none of them is older than 4 years, and it’s not for charity

I want to do the mongol rally, no car over 1000cc and not worth more than £1000. plan your own route from london to Ulan Bator. Was thinking about getting in morris minor shooting brake, or a 4x4 lada!

saw two of these on the m6 j8 around 9pm monday

Saw loads of these guys M1 north around northampton today.
Gave em a thumbs up and a wave.
Good luck to them I say
