Watch out Dave Youngs about!

Rikki-UK:
Or you can take your disagreement between two parties… and keep it between those parties and not try to involve other people. It is NOTHING to do with this website and many years of experience has shown that getting involved in other websites business only leads to a slagging match, something we will not allow.

You have an agenda which you wish to persue… good luck to you I hope you do well, but that is your agenda do not expect or demand that others have to follow it.

In short: Do what you want to do, via your succesful website, if you achieve something take the accolades. TruckNet UK is not set up to and has no desire to campaign.

If you want to do that then fine, but YOU do it do not expect us to do it on your behalf.

Bringing your troubles onto another website does you very little credit as an organisation and devalues your arguement

We have been here before with various organisations and without exception it has descended into a slanging match between websites and all involved have lost credibitly within the industry.

If that is what you are trying to acieve then carry on, if you want to make a difference then gain credibilty on your own and accept the fact that here we do not get involved or campaign, we leave that to others who are far better at it.

Just don’t snap at the bait Rikki.

Yeah I shouldn’t, we have been here so many times before
they do what they do, and we do what we do and the trolls like to stir trouble…
nothing really changes

I take my hat off to Rikki, or who ever writes that column in Commercial Motor, they have carved themselves a very cushy number. Re-printing other peoples, mostly ill considered or at the very least hurried jottings verbatim, is to my mind a pretty easy way to make a living. I look forward to next weeks offerings, although, by perusing these pages I’m certain to have already read them. Anyone at Trucknet UK’s offices got any old rope they wish to sell…or have you sold out ?

Firstly, sorry for not getting T&D’s point of view across sooner - it’s just that I’ve had a week off work painting the house.
Anyway, you have to consider the long lead times that we work with on the magazine. Although September’s issue has just hit the shelves, parts of it (including the letters page) were put together almost a month ago. The letter you are referring to only arrived after the September deadline.
We will however be publishing Barrie Tozer’s response to Robert Monks’ letter in the October issue (which has already been laid out).

Will, cant you ask Bob Monk if he would do a question and answer session from trucknet members ? But put through yourself or Rikki

My appologies for jumping the gun, I wasn’t actually trying to cause a rift between TW and TN just putting a point across.

I find that if you ask the right question eventually you get the right response, as in this case.
Thank you for clearing up the misunderstanding.

Okey

MR VAIN:
did you ever drive for a norwich firm that had a rigid with a parrot on the curtains?

:open_mouth: Blimey MR VAIN :open_mouth: Don’t mention parrots on here, cos Denis F will be along talking about Norwegian blues pining for the fjords and the methods to be used when resuscitating dead ones. :grimacing:
