Waste oil and fuel etc

Saw a waste oil tanker the other day (weirdly, towing a mobile snack van but that’s another story :laughing: ) and it got me thinking. What do they do with the stuff? Burn it?

With all those scrap vehicles as well as oil from garages etc there must be quite a lot of it.

With all those scrap vehicles as well as oil from garages etc there must be quite a lot of it.

A lot of it goes to Germany via Immingham for recycling in to “new” clean oil! Old filters get crushed the oil residue as above and filter casing gets recycled
