Washing your truck using your fuel card

Have you guys seen at loads of truckwash sites you can now pay for your washes with your fuel card, I used a Keyfuels card, but saw at least the red fuels logo on there as well. The company was eurotruckwash

Cool idea if you ask me.

this has been on the ReD emails for a couple of weeks now

Use your ReD fuel card to pay for truck washes at a range of competitively priced sites across the UK and Europe.
For information about site locations please visit http://www.redfuelcards.com/documents/ReD_Truckwash_sites_5.pdf
http://www.redfuelcards.com/truckwash-sites for our complete list of truck wash sites.

wonder If I could take a dirty livestock truck to any of them

Washing your truck using your fuel card :exclamation: :exclamation: - I would have thought a sponge or a brush might do a better job

@ROG if that is the way you like washing your lorry , please
catch the next flight out to here, and I will take you to a german
firm the equiverlent of Mr PETER ROFF; WHOSE DRIVERS HAVE
to clean their trucks exactly the way you described,

i have saw a couple of livestock motors at them especialy the 1 at heartshead moor

Hey look at this www.eurotruckwash.com they take Keyfuels as well as ReD AND you can use them in Europe as well as UK

Just to show Rog it is possible, this is me washing with fuelcards — admittedly I had to borrow one from a friend so I could reach to top of my rig!

I like the picture from tinman

I see that eurotruckwash.com also offer a system where you can limit the number of washes each vehicle or trailer has, they sent me an email as follows:

Dear Bill

Thanks for your time earlier, our service is unique and works across our ever-growing international network - you might even be using some of the sites on the network already; moving over to payment by fuel cards will simply save you time and administration effort.

Controlling how often a vehicle or trailer is washed is a major new development to help cost and quality control, we can also tell you which vehicles have not been washed.

So this means we offer you the ability to:

 Set the frequency of wash by week/fortnight or month
 Offer override by driver / transport office or none
 Control wash frequency of trailers and units separately
 Pay for each wash by using your existing fuel card
 Include washes carried out at your own depot within in our system (a small transaction charge will apply)

Our service allows you to:
o View wash activity online and in real time
o Download reports
o Know which vehicles have not been washed

The convenience of using your fuel card as a payment method for washing is a benefit in its own right and may be all you use, but if you want to look at the full cost control measures, then we offer a service which cannot be matched.

With over 20 Gantry washes covering the UK, we offer wash times as low as 8 minutes with the best quality wash finish to help your vehicles look good for longer.

I look forward to hearing from you

Chris

I wonder how these franchised guys are getting away with setting up truckwashes on the motorway services.
We had to stop washing trucks in the yard unless we fitted interceptors. Along with all the illegal immigrant car washes being set up in pub car parks and supermarkets. where are the waterboard inspectors?

Thats a cracking point wheel nut!!!

Our place has just shut our wash cause of no interceptor tank

HERE for those who are unsure as to what is meant
by Interceptor

i was talking to the guy running the wash at clacket lane when i got mine washed on the red card, he said it cost ipw group £15000.00 to set up the site there :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I saw that uk truck clean Ltd offer a way of coming to your yard and washing yout trucks, but they take the dirty water away with them, which saves you having the need for a discharge licence

Gary Taylor (who is the guy who showed the brushwash system to the Dragons Den) runs it - his email is gary@uktruckclean.com
