Nearly every driver in the UK drives with a high visibility vest on, that’s a long time on a 10 or 9 hour drive and a 15 hour shift as they sit in the cafe and restaurant with the do not knock me down bib.

In some regional and national distribution centres there are big signs on the exit gate to say : Remove your hi-viz.

No doubt the incoming flak will be
“How does it affect me what other people wear,it’s part of my PPE!”

His Toe-'tectors wouldn’t have saved him: probably weighed him down and drowned him!

Never understood why people drive with hiviz vest and company jumper on especially in this weather. Ok get hiviz part if on multi drop stop and start every 15 mins
Personally soon as leave yard it comes off along with jumper drive in my t shirt .
Only takes a min to put back on when at delivery point.

I don’t get it either, as you said it’s ok for a multi drop rather than keep putting it on and off every 15 minutes.

I would say the reflection of the hi-vis would affect the visibility on a sunny day reflecting from the windscreen.

It isn’t half annoying the bargees though!
