has anyone here washed the mattress cover from a DAF bottom bunk?
if so, any problems, such as shrinkage?
what temp?
i have looked for a label for washing info, but there isn’t one
any help would be appreciated

Instruct your female to wash it on a “delicates” programme at a maximum of 40 degrees. The most important thing to be aware of is that you have to put it back on the mattress as soon as it comes out of the washing machine and while it is still damp, otherwise it will shrink when drying and you won’t get it back on.
i wash mine at 40 degrees and had no problems with shrinkage
Same here, just put it on 40 at 1200rpm, put it out on the line to dry and it went back on fine. I’ve done it will all 3 of ours.
thanks for the replies, even yours Harry, it did make me chuckle
oh, Harry, did you get your speakers sorted?

Yep, have pre-ordered a pair of 5" speakers from Halfords, reduced from £39.99 to £19.99, will be picking them up tomorrow. Am back at work Monday but will probably go in tomorrow evening as I always sleep better in a truck than I do in a house, and will fit them then.
Thanks to all for the information.
Incidentally, I brought the DAF curtains home this weekend and Mary kindly washed them for me, not only do they look much cleaner, they also only seem to weigh half as much as when I brought them home.
As has been said, low temperatures. Its a real ■■■■■ to get the cover back on though,a really tight fit,and you may find that it doesn
t sit “square” on the matress when replaced.Clean pair of hands, and a lot of pulling required, but it will eventually sit back in.

Yep, all good advice, I once washed the mattress cover from a DAF 3300, it was a real struggle trying to get the mattress cover back on to the mattress, the only thing I could compare it to was the time when I accidentally bought some “medium-size” condoms, and the struggle she had trying to put one of them on.

Yep, she said “I don’t think much of your organ” so I said “I’ve never had to play it in a Cathedral before”.
no Harry, he said it was a tight fit, not like a prick in a top hat
Or throwing a mars bar down the m1
I have washed the cover in my daf. i washed on a 40 wash then put it out to dry once it was dry i put it back on no problems.
