Was I Right ?

Lady P:
I made the decision to tell the boss what happened as I didnt want him to here this 2nd hand the rest was up to him

This driver has done this before to me last yr I warned him then he also tried to lossen my bra in the yard again I warned him, he has also mad it clear that he would like to get into my knickers as he put it, I told him no chance

We were talkin about work uniforms, ie how many T shirts we had

sorry long day

Sounds like a real charmer.

I cant see how he would have lost his job over just this incident, it must have been the last straw.

OK here goes

Melchett:

robB39:
It is NOT acceptable, nobody as said it was have they?

But you are implying it’s acceptable when you say this…

robB39:
But if you are in a MANS job expect that sort of thing.

It’s not a “mans job”, it’s A JOB &, unless you’ve been locked in a cave for the last 20 years you will know that women are branching out & daring to be plumbers, bus drivers, truckers… Oh the horror.

Sorry I don’t agree. What is the percentage of all women in these professions??

It’s still a MANS job no matter how much you try and argue against it I’m afraid.

Melchett:
But, there is a line you don’t cross & this neanderthal went way over & got what he deserved! If he’d done the same thing in say a pub he could have been facing criminal charges… I reckon he got off lightly

You’re having a joke right?

robB39:
He depends on your relationship with the person who is being subjected to it…

Shall I repeat myself!!!

Melchett:
Really? Under what circumstances would it then be acceptable?

Lad mates muck about like this all the time and I’m sure if you go to U tube you will see vids and photos of mates engaging in said activity perfectly acceptable to them!!

Melchett:

robB39:
It also depends on how the recipient feels about it.

She didn’t seem to be too impressed!

I wasn’t being specific.

Melchett:

robB39:
Thats just it; it’s a very fine line. - In my opinion he was out of order.

It’s not a fine line, it’s a 3 lane motorway… if a woman wants you to touch her it’s pretty bleeding obvious, until then it’s HANDS OFF & no excuses.

I keep my hands off 'cos I ain’t sure. Perhaps she wouldn’t mind or she may take exception to it? I’ve never been able to work women out. When it comes to what is acceptable to them or not; they’re all different you see. As pointed out; - when someone she fancies does it; it’s flirting. When someone unwelcome does it; it’s ■■■■■■ harassment.

Melchett:
I’m not overly sensitive, this is a case of bullying at best…

We know what the case is. You see it as bullying I see as horseplay getting out of hand (in the first instance). Second instance if Lady P as already set out the parameters of their relationship after first encounter then it’s harassment. For it to be bullying pressure and intimidation has to be involved.

Melchett:
■■■■■■ assault at worst!

Rubbish. It’s only ■■■■■■ assault if intended that way. The same as a slap on bum. ALL BANNED NOW!! I know of a few women who didn’t mind a slap on bum from a nice guy or being wolf whistled. Is that the neanderthal mindset you’re referring to?

Melchett:
Just because it happened in the work place doesn’t make it any more acceptable than if it happened in the park, pub, street etc. Why should anyone have to resort to violence in their day to day work to fend off retards?

What are you babbling on about??..LISTEN!!

Like I said before it depends on the parties involved.

Some blokes think if it’s OK to muck about in such a way with their workmates so it’s OK if they’re female as well. So you have to expect it. If it’s not acceptable to you put them straight for fzbs sake. How many times do I have to repeat myself■■?

AS IT GONE IN YET■■?!!!

It’s still a MANS job no matter how much you try and argue against it I’m afraid.

    I love it when some guys have to live in the past to preserve what they see as masculinity.
Bless - Dont you just love 'em

Melchett:

robB39:
YAAAAWN :unamused: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: Not been out much with lads then??

OR any stag parties■■?

I suppose with an attitude like that you’ve ‘shopped’ in all your mates■■?

That it?? :open_mouth: I expected better to be honest. But then again… pretty typical of the knuckle-dragging apes in society.

Is this an ad hominem attack?? I expected better… NO I didn’t

Melchett:
I wonder if you treat your wife/girlfriend the same way, she’s one lucky lady

Same way as what??

The disjunctive premise of your argument being■■?

Mothertrucker:

It’s still a MANS job no matter how much you try and argue against it I’m afraid.

    I love it when some guys have to live in the past to preserve what they see as masculinity.
Bless - Dont you just love 'em

Sewing in a factory is a womans job. Nursing is a womans job. That’s because they have predominantly female workforce not because men don’t do them.

The point to your ‘typically female’ illogical and irrelevant statement being■■?

old pat would be happy to be attacked/raped/assaulted as long as no one lost there jobs over it.

From a man who isn’t prepared to say anything to my face, I fully expected you to post something behind a keyboard Terry, that’s not bullying just sheer cowardice :unamused: :unamused:

I would feel perfectly capable in dealing with anthing like this myself and it would bever happen again from either the person involved or those watching.

Once you’ve laid down those ground rules with the blokes you work with, they forget you’re a female and treat you as a genderless driver.

BUT, to achieve this you have to also behave, and do your job, like a genderless driver and not a ‘female’ when it suits you, I’m afraid :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Pat

Having removed the original version of the above quote before reading this post, I’ll leave it here simply because you’ve answered it so neatly. L.

wotever old girl woteva.

see u at t/fest then i,ll tell u wot i think of u no bother…
in the meantime lets not disrupt the forum for petty hatred…

Good idea Terry. Please don’t. :unamused:

Lucy:
Good idea Terry. Please don’t. :unamused:
