Was i being paranoid?

I was with my dad yesterday (im 16 btw) and we had to pull onto Hilton park (nb) for a break, we were parked by the fuel pumps and we were there for 20 mins or so, my dad decided to go off to the toilet and about a mintue after he went a whit transit van pulled up along side us, i had the interior light on so they must of known i was in the truck. i sat there with my hand on the door lock ready to lock it and my phone was ready to ring the police, they sat there for 5 minutes and pulled away quite quickly as they must of seen my dad walking back. My question is, was i right to sit there expecting the worst because it was a white van with 2 men inside or was i being paranoid? thanks

You’re not paranoid enough next time take a claw hammer with you and be prepared to beat someone to death with it.
