Got 30 or so new daf cf410 coming the end of the month and into april to replace 30 daf cf360.Got some 07 plate dafcf360 from Bellshill for the time being and they are nails!!!
‘Conway Bailey Transport’ (orange XF’s) from Cornwall have got at least one 12 plate and they rarely buy one at a time.

I’ve seen more 12 plate lorries than cars, only 2 cars both Suzuki Swifts.

we are supposed to be getting 12 plate DAF CF sometime soon, not looking forward to moving into one of them from an 09 merc actros SSCthats a bugger mate, bet youre gutted.
Yep well gutted, TM said hill hire hire had offered them to him last week, hill hire been trying to get in where I work for a while now, just gotta hope they are poverty spec motors as TM said he will give them a miss if they are. Other depots have just got 61 plate merc actros’s in from gullivers, TM hates gullivers so wants to avoid using them.
Ryder now own Hill Hire, and judging by the age of some of the trucks in Ryder depots, they like to keep their trucks till they’re about dead. Looks like you’ll have plenty of time to get used to your CF. At least you got a new one every 4 years with Hill Hire.

I know what you mean about Ryder and old trucks, see some right old heaps in their depots. As for these CF’s, i hope our TM knocks them back, everyone is on at him to replace what we have got with more actros’s, not the new shape as we got no chance with that 
our lot have just had 4 Xf 105 units arrive and a new scania r420 rear mounted hiab wag n drag arrived on thursday , i expect the arguing to begin about whos going to get it to begin on monday morning 
personally i wouldnt be wanting it as i’m happy with my 57 plate scanny but knowing my luck i’ll end with it at some point

I’ve never liked DAFs of any sort. From my experience they are uncomfortable and the all round vision with them is poor. Our company used to have 4 Actros MegaSpaces when Hill Hire offered them and they were first rate trucks. Even for the size of the cab, all round visibility was superb. Much better than a little CF. Quite lucky as all our fleet comes from Hill Hires Glasgow branch, but they only seem to get Renault Premiums and Stralis’s now, so until its 100% Ryder, we shouldn’t get any DAFs coming our way. I love the looks of the new Actros too, but like you, ill just have to dream about having one for now.

When I say I would like a new shape actros, i don’t mean the latest one, the out going one would be fine by me, i am currently in an 09 reg, it’s not the model that’s currently being replaced but the one before that. My actros has gone for MOT and have got a CF as replacement, and it’s ■■■■, so I have been letting the TM know what I think of it. Would much rather keep the actros that I am in now than have a new 12 reg CF. As for the new new actros, lovely looking motor ain’t it, seen a few on the road now and like the look of it.
