Ferries collide at Calais amid high windsTwo cross-Channel ferries collided in high winds and rough seas.

The P&O ferry Pride of Burgundy hit the MyFerry ship Berlioz outside Calais in northern France at about 11:30 local time (10:30 BST) on Saturday.

A spokeswoman for P&O said its ferry had been blown into the other vessel as the ship left the port.

There were no passengers on the Berlioz. None of 200 passengers on the Pride of Burgundy was injured and they were transferred to another ship.

The P&O ferry suffered “minor damage to the right bridge wing” and the ship was back in operation within two hours, the spokeswoman said.

A passenger on board reported that the collision was hardly felt on the ship.

That was quick, just show you how bad it’s on the roads, if that had happen on the road to a truck it would have closed road for hours and and taken days to fix

Everyone on here was on it weren’t we?

I feel a ‘No win, no fee’ coming on…

Ken.

I would of been on it but while on my break a truck came off road and smashed into some fuel pumps. I ran over pulled driver out of cab just as it exploded.

I just missed it as I got a bit held up on a balcony.

My mate was fishing just between the 2 of them.

flatfish?

i thought they were just having a cuddle to keep warm.

ps. my wife was sick on that boat.

Sea hardly looks choppy, nevermind rough !

Bet they gonna bill the other one for damaged to the paint work… might as well get a full respray in with all that rust on the bow.

Well the drivers will most likely escaped being served by Juli -an the cross dressing staff member, lol

Someone was heard shouting from the bridge sorry mate I didn’t see you. :smiling_imp:

I heard a Stobart driver in a Tesco RDC mentioning that he had missed the boat by 15 minutes but I know that was rubbish because I was held up for 30 minutes at the front of the que and I ended up running out of time so they chalked off the entrance to the port so I could take a 45. There was no Stobart trucks in the que.

Looks like a dodgy insurance claim to me. I hope the Captain had a dash cam

No doubt there was another ferry that cut the first one up, braked and then buggered off without stopping. Shortly afterwards 500 asian’s came out holding their necks.
