Warning to potential stobart drivers

Lad stopped the w/end for a break,having a ■■■ in cab,spotter took photo and informed company,lad sacked.
Just bare this in mind if you take a job

I know someone who got sacked not waving at the spotters when arriving at Daventry

Tough he shouldn’t have got caught, and Viking how did your mate go on when he took them to court for unfair dismissal because surely if he had waved he would not have been in full control of his vehicle

I’d of given them the one finger wave or the coffee bean wave, I saw one sad ■■■■■■ come into Hopwood Park at 1am block the driver from leaving with his car, start taking pictures and asking for photos with the drive while he was having a 45. I told the sad ■■■■ to jog on and stop being pathetic (it’s 1am ffs)as the Stobart drive was blocking me in from starting my night out.

nutters ,im not gunna waste my time ,get a grip :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

new lad you are not wired up r8 as well ,no matter what u say is utter ■■■■■■■■ , and as for dozy id rather talk to a brick wall :frowning: :frowning:

Ok

People can get sacked for anything nowadays however small or pathetic you may think it is, best thing is to keep your cv up to date & ready to jump…

I’m wondering how many times I should have been sacked then? You “know someone” … is this trucknet speech for “I haven’t got anything to say so I’ll make something up totally unbelievable but say I know someone so everyone will believe me”?

Good, glad to see a company taking action against someone that’s breaking the law

Ha haa coffee bean wave. Having that

Funny how the guys on the tv program don’t get the old tin tack for waving . On the 1 or 2 episodes I’ve seen I saw one driver come out with a new truck the spotters hadn’t seen and he was waving like the queen at a day at the races . Some how I don’t believe he got sacked for just waving

He was naked with something else in his other hand at the time.

I think he was saying he got sacked for not waving mate

Think some are missing the point here, the original topic was smoking in the cab.
Smoking in a Company vehicle or in premises that are used by other individuals is an offence.
In many cases it is now part of Company rules that smoking takes place OUTSIDE of a vehicle irrespective of a person being the regular driver, because at some stage over the year that driver is going to have time off for sick or holiday leave, over which time someone else will have the vehicle use.
Break Company rules and get caught you take the consequencies

I think the OP could also be insinuating the spotter was a grass

At the end of the day he shouldn’t have been smoking in his cab so has only himself to blame no one else.

Unlucky for the driver, and the spotter is a bit of a knob for snitching
