Be VERY careful folks if trucking through Maybole High St on main A77 from Stranraer to Ayr.
20mph limits just introduced and got 3rd party word from a JUDGE that they will be “■■■■■■■■” enforced! !!![emoji54]

And why should they not be enforced? Already posted about this by the way! Observation could be better.
No double yellows though so the change in speed limit is pointless, especially when the ferry traffic is coming down the hill and you are stuck behind a parked car. I hate that place
When your steaming through it@ 0630 heading for the 0730 boats you could easily be caught out.
Went through it yesterday and again tomorrow and Fri morn and 20mph is seriously SLOW!!!
More commonly known as Mayhole

Seriously slow is it? You try being a pedestrian and being hit by a truck. Think children before your next comment.
They shouldn’t be in the road then should they. Anyway a lot of the folk in Mayhole wouldn’t notice if a wagon hit them.

Wind your neck in!!!
I’ve two kids under 11yrs but I don’t think every town centre in UK that has narrow streets should be 20mph!!!
It puts about 2 minutes max on to your journey . If your running that tight for a boat your planning office needs to be sorting something out with what ever hell hole your loading in.
Should be a lot safer now with all drivers concentrating on their speedos rather than the road.
Probably had a few local doo gooders complaining and bowed to pressure and of course the police will be on it for the easy pickings
A blanket 20 mph limit doesnt make sense, fair enough near schools on school days.Do they realize that our engines will be churning out more pollution while in lower gears and we will be there for longer.

hit a maybole junkie at 20 mph, they get up and walk away,or get out of casualty with a few broken bones…they live the rest of their days on dla after claiming your bollox off.or…hit a maybole junkie at 40 ish, and splatter them goodstyle…bit of a no brainer there. the reason that the towns called maybole is because when the planners years ago were deciding on a name for the place, then it was originally to be called…whatastinkingshitholeofaplacethiscrackintheassholeofnowherethisis…but they couldnt find anywhere big enough to put the sign,so maybole it became instead. all things being reasonable itl make no difference to anone except easy pickings for ayrshire plod who will hide behind the wall as you come in like they do anyway.i would just love to take the side out of the car parked outside the newsagents on left heading for the boat every morning as its the only 15 feet of no parking in the entire town.the cretin parks there without fail, knowing full well he is causing an obstacle for everyone heading south.the only time yu can fly through the place is before 8 and after 10 as its a bottleneck for traffic anyway.just an excuse for easy fines.
