Just awoke to find that some finger shufflers has had my diesel they have pulled out the sender unit to get fuel out,the annoying thing is I only had about 50 litre in the tank reffuel warning was on, so be weary of Heads of the Valley road Neath end not anywhere near Merthyr
Plenty of Gippo’s in West Wales…must be because they’re closer to Ireland.

Agree with you buford
I’m guessing you will be the Mortimers guy who was late down at Huntsman this afternoon then?!
Have to agree with Motosnape, the whole of this region is a diesel theft hot spot.

Think motosnape was digging at the Irish more than making a statement about diesel theft
We’ve been told by our gaffer that if we park in none ‘secure’ parking in that area and our fuel gets robbed he will bill us. Prior to this we had two wagons emptied.

But on the plus side we’re further away from France.
In actual fact we don’t see many caravan users if that’s what the censored word was referring to; richer pickings in England for the likes of them.

It’s a tricky subject.
I would say that a disproportionately high amount of diesel theft is carried out by Irish travellers, but I would not say that this meant that Irish people in general were thieves. To think this would be to follow the reasoning of “All daffodils are yellow, therefore all yellow flowers are daffodils”.
In fact, Eire is one of the few places I’ve never visited but want to, and I wouldn’t want to visit somewhere if I thought the people were inherently bad.

Take your point about it being Irish travellers nickin diesel.
Get yourself over to Ireland for a week or 2, great country, lived there for 5 years. I’m sure you’d have a great time
Has to be said also that if there’s one place that travellers are detested more than the UK, it’s Ireland.
Agree with Selby newcomer; I’ve been over there several times for the Harley-Davidson Club Ireland rally. Always a warm welcome wherever you go, if I have one criticism of the place it’s a bit of a beer desert if like me you’re a cask bitter drinker. It’s OK saying drink Guinness instead but that gets a bit of a muchness; beer ain’t cheap in the pubs either.

yes
when I phoned the police to report it,the nice young lady on the phone did till me that I was the first ever report of fuel theft on that stretch of road (the rest couldn’t be bothered to report it I suppose)
We’re not having a problem with fuel thefts (luckily so far).
We deal with portaloos and have problem with the ‘Whale’ hand pumps inside being nicked!
Quiet, and they can shift alot of fluid in a short time.
