Warberers

Ok so I’m in Keele services (north bound) and there’s 5 Warberers trucks parked up next to each other, each with a satellite dish on so they’re obviously parked up for a while. Whas all that about then? Seeing these trucks everywhere these days.

Waberers are waiting for re-loads to wherever in Europe.
They can watch films in their own language or tv from their satelite dishes.
Every half an hour, they will run the engine to charge the batteries.
We do not see many of the Willi Betz fleet, they used to hang laundry from the fence at Msa’s.

They look nice don’t they…

Their prob on a 45 why worry whats the problem their jut being legal :unamused:

Doing the same as Brits do in Europe etc w/ended away from home, making the most of what they have.

Used to have loads of Willi Betz park up at Donnington Services and the two drivers would get flown back to wherever they came from and another 2 man crew would fly in and take over from them.
Don’t know if they still do it. Cherwell Valley services is another place where you get loads of the same fleet parked up on a weekend. There’s a Polish company who parks all his trucks up at Newark over the xmas period and gets all his drivers back for xmas then flys them back over, I was in there just after the new year in 2012 and they were all parked up on the top section of the truck park next to the train station, one of the ladys in the café told me why they were all parked there.
Surely they’re breaking the law regarding cabbatage rules?

do you know the rules on that Steve

gov.uk/cabotage

You can carry out a limited number of cabotage jobs in another EU member state if you’re a UK haulier with a Community Authorisation. The jobs must follow a journey where goods were transported from the UK or another member state.

Cabotage is the haulage of goods for hire or reward in one member state by a vehicle registered in a different member state.

As a goods vehicle operator, when you get a standard international licence you’ll automatically get a Community Authorisation.

When and where UK hauliers can carry out cabotage

You can only carry out up to 3 cabotage jobs in 7 days within the host member state.

They own All4trucks t/stop in Calais you should see how many of them are in there at night and on the weekends.

I understood the rules about you only allowed to do so many jobs in so many days but I thought they were the rules for everyone? How that’s worded it just affects UK hauliers?
Aren’t they abolishing cabotage rules in the future so you’ll be able to do as many jobs as you want? I think I’ve read it in the various truck mags in the past.

Didn’t bother reading the full link before I posted that reply sorry

Thought they took all their breaks on the hard shoulders

Just seen one parked in the middle lane of M6 tonight near Knutsford, I dont think he was on a break as he had a car wrapped around the front.
PS It is Waberers not Warberers

They already have a list of MSA-s where they can park for free. More exactly they do not have to pay, the company sort it out via internet.
