If I did that - I wouldn’t get a job driving to Tamworth.
A year ago, this town was an umemployment black spot.
Are the jobs actually in town though, or at the outside towns mentioned like Burton?
I’m thinking there’s a lot of agency shifts in the surrounding towns - getting people away from signing on, but no actual upturn in proper fully-well-paid full time jobs in town as yet.
This would make Tamworth similar to Medway in that regard. Retail & Benefit claimaints, with workers all having to commute to other towns for the mainstream transport work at least.
The article is probably the opening salvo in the “Support your local Tory Pincher” campaign.
If you have not got a well-paid job actually in Tamworth - disbelieve the lies, and vote against him.

I read the article and that is precisely the case with it being agency work although its business parks in the surrounding area rather than other towns.
