I have got a 19" Technika TV bought from Tesco and want to mount it on the offside wall of my MAN TGA. I know which bracket I need but just wondered if anyone had mounted a TV onto an MAN interior? I just don’t know if the wall will be strong enough to hold the TV as I don’t know what their is behind the interior panel for the screws to get their teeth into. Any advice will be appreciated.
Also, has anyone got any recommendations for a decent freeview aerial for around 50 quid??
You can try and clamp the interior trim between the bracket and wood behind if the trim is strong enough. Alternatively take the trim off and epoxy glue batons of wood to the exterior metal panel put the trim back and screw into them. Worth considering a string elastic strap to hold it when driving to stop it either rattling or getting extra stress.
Another option is to make some metal bracketry to attach to some bolt or screw point that’s already there behind the trim like a grab-handle or some top bunk fitting.
(My gut is your set-up will be too heavy for the existing trim)
