I just spoke to my mate & he said there not picking up coca- cola lads etc , there not allowed to , if they go into c/c he said its to pick up empty
palls etc , said some long / some short days , but likes it .
today b/l to Thurrock and back .
said there paying fuel , but hasn’t been paid it yet , but think he’s only been there few weeks so may be hasn’t had pay slip yet
very interested , but then he said he did a extra shift last Sunday of 14 1/2 hrs 
, I lost interest then 
I don’t want extra shifts and not 14 1/2 hrs on a Sunday that’s for sure

A 50% saving would have a fair “tolerate a crap service” factor for sure, and any service issues will land on ESLs doorstep, not PepsiCo Walkers…
Walkers aren’t stupid, they can see that the “back-haul” model is where its at, and, with the price of operation rising fast, they can now concentrate making crisps ect…

If Leicester suitable place to work that here Stobart have truck at Bevcan.Easy job,not long hours.Just go to Sidcup,Wisbech,Leeds and back.There as well can work just for shunter and get fixed shift.
That depends if you mean ‘all’ of those drops done in one shift or two ?.Or is it Sidcup ‘or’ Wisbech ‘or’ Leeds. ?. 
If it’s the former good luck with getting all that done in 15 hours and without running out of driving time and if that’s easy I wouldn’t want to try difficult.

Dozy I thought you get paid weekly at Eddies???So your mate should get his fuel paid weekly but it could be that they pay it only once a month.
Otherwise you always moaning about long hrs. Imagine you have to do a 9-10 hrs shift daily with commuting 1 hour each way. Do you really want to do that??Only because they pay fuel??Imagine you get stuck and need to have reduced rest in which you need to travel 1 hour per way.
I can see you already posting on here saying “11 hrs Walkers Shift, will I be home at midnight?” or “Unplanned Night Out at Walkers Yard Leeds, any tips ta” + all the other drivvel…
To be honest get a local job, as lots of people told you > there are enough Class 1 companies around you > go make some phone calls and knock on some doors.

On the other hand talk to the HR Department and ask them if you can swap into a Day Drivers position in your Yard, regardless what the Operations Manager tells you.

Not ask him long time what he do now and how long shift now.But before he talk who do just about 8-12 hours.One delivery and one collection.Sometime little bit delay because they have strictly booking time at CCE.If come early to Coca cola that Stobart get big penalty .And they use long trailers .So all collection must be ussualy live tipping.But anyway all up to 12 hours per day.
