Is it my imagination or do those living in Wales get a better service from DVLA. The reason I ask is that over the years whilst living in England I have had a pretty poor service from the DVLA. Last year I moved to Wales and all of a sudden I am getting the service I should have had all along.
Last year on 25 November I sent three documents to DVLA and also notified change of address online. On 28 November I received my updated driving licence and over the following fortnight received two V5c’s dated 1 & 4 December. They did however mislay the other item for three weeks but that had an English address, this was finally completed on 9 February 2016, 76 days later.
Fast forward November 2016 and I sent my Digicard renewal application on 11 November second class and received new card within a week and on 23 November I sent my licence renewal application, again second class, the day after my medical and received my licence today.
