Rugbyfan:
I believe the agency who are taking on drivers for Waitrose is Supply Chain Operations Limited 01925 430385
They was in the lances Evenning post last Thurs look for drivers.
Waitrose must not of got enough driver applying for jobs maybe? so they now have to use agencys.

You must be joking! They had hundreds and hundreds applying for them. As another poster said, they’re phasing drivers in so need cover whilst new drivers are being inducted.
They use alot of agencies. Just some of the drivers I’ve met at Bracknell are from 1st call, ocean city, contract options, per temps. The transport guy said they have 30-40 agency drivers on the pm shifts alone! We are doing traction work for them atm aswell!

Did anyone get a Job at Waitrose. . I applied along with loads of others but I’ve heard nothing from anyone who actually got a job with them.
Tesco Agency driver mate of mine got a start after going through the whole recruitment process living in Northern Ireland, he actually starts today 11th August and has moved lock/stock & barrel from NI over to work for them

Good on him, they’re supposed to be a great firm to work for. One of the few jobs for life left if that’s your thing.

Only thing is he was ALWAYS one of the first drivers to opt to go home early on a shift@ Tesco if the rest of the runs were all covered,
don’t think he’s going to get any “handy haulage” like that@ Waitrose

Haven’t heard “handy haulage” in years Maybe it’s a sign of the times…!
Maybe he’ll be different with a different firm and the various stresses of living away from home. I know I’d try a lot harder for Waitrose than Tesco, as I feel they’d value me more. I could be totally wrong but that’s my gut feeling.
me again scanner I know someone who works at the HQ in Bracknell …From what she say it is a good company to work for .with staff discount , yearly bonus which is usually a couple of grand, and they do not do nights out

Your living in “The Bean” now and your not having the same sort of “craic/banter”

Definitely not the same! Was going to say about your mate getting a bit of a culture shock, but I imagine it’s not his first time dealing with Beanie rules and regs. Getting called “Drive” is something I can never get used to though!
