How long have you been waiting. I’ve had to surrender my licence due to a medical issue. My GP reckons a 3 month minimum wait before I get a decision. This video doesn’t fill me with confidence

I’d been waiting for a treadmill test but the hospital was not very hopeful of it being done soon.

Last week DVLA rung me to enquire about the test, the bloke was very helpful and said he would try and gee them up. On sunday I had a call from the doctor and did my treadmill test on tuesday.

My past dealings will DVLA have not been pleasant, but perhaps heads have been knocked together and things may change, lets hope so.

I hear it’s anything up to 10 week just to get a returned Licence …passed medical in January after turning 50…2 nd 5 year medical…passed forms returned 1st classed signed for which they did in January,Still waiting but driving under section 88.

You are still able to drive while awaiting DVLA decision, unless your doctor says you cant drive. But not informing DVLA could lead to serious repercussions if you have a big accident, even if you are not to blame.

I wanted a replacement V5 at the start of lock down 2020, sent the form in with a cheque, never came, then in August 2020 you could get a replacement V5 online, so filled it in online, card payment made, new V5 came a couple of days later. In December 2020 they cashed the cheque, never got another V5 though.
