Waiting at RDCs

Hello folks,

Just want to know why certain places don’t let you stay in cab whilst your being tipped? Happened to me last week on agency and felt like a criminal when this polish guy yelled ‘no stay in cab’ :imp:

Anybody get this at RDCs or anywhere else?

Because drivers have been known to pull off a bay with a red light showing, Asda are good at letting you sit in the cab as is Coop but Tosco and J S are not so good, Morrisons also let you sit in your cab. We have a rule at our place now for visting drivers and that is you have to hand your keys in and sit in the canteen but it still didn’t stop an EE driver pulling off a red light last week with his spare key and the poor warehouse bloke landing on the tarmac some drivers just don’t help themselves.

Dont understand why all new rdc arnt fitted with a locking bar that come up when the red light is on, that makes it impossible to drive off untill its lowered.

Because they cost a lot of money .

Amazon Doncaster has them and they still make you sit in the waiting room not your cab!

because as drivers we just accept it and moan later
