Wages, Are they still going down?

That Bar Hill job will be at DHL they used to have abby guys in there when I was temping for DHL. One of the blokes used to drive up every day from Dagenham do his shift then drive back, said he was losing out big time as you can well imagine.

Yep thats the one with DHL!

I dont know about wages going down, I’ve offered to work for £1/week and still cant get a job, over 30 years of experience wasted :frowning:

it was only a sarcastic ‘‘ill have a bit of that’’
If i remember correctly from the quick glance i gave the advert, you supply the van, fuel, (as you pointed out) insurance on the vehicle and public and goods as well.

I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole if im honest!

Fair enough, thanks for including the small print

It’s a job for someone, but not for either of us. It’s a good few years since I insured a van for courier use and even then it was £1300 a year on a batter old Merc 207. :open_mouth: The reason I gave up was because the mileage rates never kept up with the fuel cost, which was then about 30% of the turnover. If I didn’t have to earn a living I’d still do a summer on two wheels round London, that I didn’t mind.
