hi all,a friend has been offered a job on a wag and drag transporting container type cabins for building sites,the problem is he only has a cat c licence,all the gaffer asked was, did he have a licence for an 8 legger,he passed in 1999 so hasnt got the 102 restriction either,am i right to think he can only tow something up to 750kg,and has to pass the c+e test to be legal 
Did he pass his car test before 1997
But his licence will tell him if he has the categories
But if only has a Cat C he cant pull the drag bit he will need to do full CE weather on artic or wagon + drag
Without the 102 he’s limited to rigids with a 750 kgs trailer. The date wasn’t 1997 but earlier, around 1991 and would’ve required an HGV licence not car.
