I start a new job on drawbars next week and ive only ever driven artics.
I was wondering if any of the trainers on here could explain how to couple and un couple them. cheers.
Not so different mate
Apply the trailer brake
lower landing legs
Disconnect air lines and electrics inc ABS
raise coupling pin
pull forward away from trailer
To recouple
Make sure trailer is roadworthy. tyres, MOT, and make sure trailer brake is on
reverse close then check height of trailer
when coupled make sure by pulling forward
make sure safety pin is good
connect the airlines etc
lift the legs
put the trailer brake off
make sure the lights work
check the brakes

The lever on the right lifts the pin after unclipping the button on the left, the handrake is used in the same way as an artic.
Reverse onto the pin gently and it should drop, try a tug test but the advantage is you can see if it has dropped properly.
Some trailers use C Type couplings and susies like an artic, some are automatic which clip together.
Duomatic air couplings
