The Aldi ones are back in again - got mine 12 months ago and never had a problem. 3 year guarantee and when you look at the label it’s made by Dometic - the same people who own Waeco.
Tanks for all the help guys I think I’ve found the cooler and kettle for me but I haved another issue hot food - I’ve seen a microwave at sainsburys no problem I hear you say but I’m a bit confused about inverters as well.
The microwave says that it’s 800 watt could I run it on a 550watt inverter I’m assuming no or would i need to get 1000w inverter
Apologies for my stupidity

I’d say at least a 1500w inverter to run an 800w microwave, the start up power of a microwave tends to be a lot higher than the cooking power (which is the 800w quoted).

I thought just as much I’m trying to avoid connecting it to the batteries if I can as I’m not forced to be I the same truck every week I want one tha will plug into the ciggie lighter but o the same job

The max power you will get from an inverter that plugs into a cigarette socket is 150w, enough for charging phones etc or powering a coolbox but certainly not to power a microwave.
Some 300-500w inverters have a cigarette plug but if you read the handbook they need to be hard wired to the batteries to reach that power output.

Well that’s a ■■■■■■■ ain’t it looks like its going to be ■■■■ off TM I’m using gas like it or lump it
Thanks for clearing that up for me and being patient with my ignorance
I suppose I could live off of ration packs instead I sure my nan has some around her gaff somewhere
Do the motors you’re using have Anderson leads fitted?
If so you could buy a lead with Anderson plug (something like this ebay.co.uk/itm/1m-Jump-Lead- … 33717ea4b2) to fit to the inverter which could then be unplugged easily when you change vehicles.
If the Anderson lead on the vehicle has been professionally fitted it should already have an inline fuse but make sure before connecting an inverter.
The only other thing you need is to ground the inverter, a wire attached from the inverter to the vehicle chassis or something connected to the chassis.
Some have Anderson leads not all an inverter seems like too muck f**ckng about ill see if I can get hold of a 24v hot plate for cooking but the kettle and cooler are definite
Thanks guys
Make sure the motor for the coolbox is brushless as they’re quiter. Buy a waeco kettle, not one from a truck stop as they’re naff, except on my 3rd attempt, will post a pic if I remember next week.
Hi mate aldi got the cool boxes in at the moment (sat 8th) bout 34 quid I think with 3 year guarantee as for gas stove try b&m store £8.99 comes in hard plastic case no problems with mine and gas is only £3.99 for a pack of 4 again from b&m much cheaper than anywhere else hope this helps mate I also use a 1 litre camping kettle less than a fiver usually

Talking of which I picked up a solar shower from Lidl last week at £3.99, ideal for me as I go out running when I’m parked up. Just handy if you cant get a wash anywhere.
they still have a few by us too …I’m lucky though as most nights I’m parked in the docks
